COVID-19 Update

Following the move into phase 2 of covid recovery the practice will reopen on Monday 22nd of June for emergencies only!

On reopening there will be a few changes we wanted to let you know about.

We will be opening initially for emergency treatment only. At this time there will not be the opportunity to attend for routine treatments. We are also unable to provide any aerosol generating procedures, that is, treatments that use water sprays like drills and scaling instruments. At present we are still available to help Over the phone and where necessary refer to existing urgent dental care centres. (UDCC) There will be an ongoing service for referral to these UDCCs for certain treatments that cannnot be provided within the practice.

Once we do open, appointments must be arrange via telephone call. We will triage over the phone including current dental problem, updating your medical history details and a covid symptoms history. We ask that you attend alone unless the appointment is for a child or a person who requires assistance. Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time. Please call the practice to let us know you have arrived outside for your appointment. Please bring essential personal belongings only. We will ask you to use hand sanitiser as you check in at reception. Toilets may not be in use. When necessary, card payment is preferred.

Please do not attend the practice if you do not have a pre-arranged appointment.

Staff will be wearing enhanced PPE appropriate for the treatment being undertaken. You will still recognise us underneath it hopefully

There will be only one surgery running per day with appointments will staggered to ease maintaining or social distancing measures.

As you know, we already adhere to very strict infection control procedures and we will continue to follow the most up to date guidelines.

Many thanks,

Martyn and the team
